Registration of Branches

Branches are a local registration that enables a foreign company to carry on business in Singapore and Hong Kong. They are required to make similar filing as companies and pay similar taxes. Therefore the main reason that a business will usually setup a branch over a local company will usually be a commercial one or a specific reason based on the laws of the foreign company's jurisdiction.
